I don't normally pick up tokens but was intrigued by this one.
"A Plunge into the Past" (Un salto nel Passato) is held every year before Christmas in the town of Baveno, on the shores of Lake Maggiore. Some info here

The site actually mentions "Specially-made coins for your purchases".
It's a nice 'chunky' copper the size of a half dollar. No idea of the value but to me it's worth the buck I paid. Now how the heck did it end up here in Thailand?
