I have uncut currency sheets that I could do that with. I wonder what this will sell at. Maybe I'm sitting on a gold mine.

I posted this so new people could learn from my mistake. I had bought one like this. It was a two dollar note just like this one. I had just started buying notes. Since I had only been collecting coins up to this point. I thought I knew what I was doing.Boy was I wrong I Learned a good lesson it only cost me a few bucks At the time. The lesson is the same for coins as it is Notes. Buy The Book Before The Note. Tracy

Oooo.... so do I.... I was looking at the pictures in the catalog that I was sent rather than the online site.... I must have missed that one as not all lots are pictured in the catalog.

Quote: This is so sad. I cant believe this is still happening The seller "clearly" states it's NOT a BEP error. I see nothing wrong with this listing. Zee et al, please start a new topic with the Lyn Knight errors as it's rather interesting instead of tagging along on a misleading header.

Actually, I did it this way for three reasons..... 1).I did not want it to appear as spam (I have no affiliation with Lyn Knight) and really don't care if anyone buys this high priced stuff or not..... 2). I thought that anyone who is interested in errors would read this thread anyway.....3). I figured that the thread was basically a dead horse, (as the note in question is really an open and shut case), so I felt the thread was ripe for hijacking..... Moderators can move or delete at their discretion..... matters not to me.

Quote: The seller "clearly" states it's NOT a BEP error. SO is it an error? He states it is. Is it an error if it happens out side of the BEP?

To me it is a replica of an error and nothing more.

It's an error in judgment is what it is.

No td..... it is not an error.... the first two digits in the serial number being 99 are reserved for notes sold in sheet form. This note left the BEP as a sheet, and was later cut up by an individual for the purpose of deceiving a prospective buyer into thinking it is an error..... Evidently, the seller did not do this, or he/she would not list it with the description that was used.
