TWO QUESTIONS
THIS COIN does not have a lot of wear... you can still see about half the stairs on the reverse, and some of the original shine.

Two Questions:
(1) Is this a Double Die error? The doubled date jumped right out at me with a low power hand lense. There are other indications of doubling. Liberty has a very weak L and some shadows of letters (see arrows) One of the images has little arrows point at things I noticed.

(2) Another CURIOSITY... this coin is very bumpy... 100's of little bumps everywhere, these bumps are easily seen with a low power hand lense (especially on the reverse) and SOME OF THESE areas still have the "factory shine", so it's not like it was dipped in battery acid.
(And a rough surface on an even smaller scale... clearly seen in the images, poor as they are.

(First post. First "find". First time taking coin "photos". First time using "coin lingo")MY UPMOST RESPECT TO COIN PHOTOGRAPHERS!

Your coin exhibits a form of die wear typically found around the date of Zincolns. The bumps are caused by the plating process. Early Zincolns had many issues and they were not worked out for almost ten years of mintage. If the zinc planchets were not perfectly cleaned before the plating process, remaining contamination would eventually corrode the zinc core causing the copper plating to bubble. If the copper plating was breached, the zinc core would become subjected to severe corrosion.

A couple notes of correction- the proper term is doubled die and they are not errors. Doubled dies, repunched mintmarks, and the like are die varieties because they are all traceable to one individual die. An error is a completely random occurrence and can happen on any coin at any time during the minting process. Examples would be things like an off center strike or a clipped(incomplete) planchet.
