I've gone through pages upon pages on google + ebay but I've never found a similar looking medal. It looks like an inauguration medal/token but all of the ones out there don't have the same obverse.

Unidentified-JFK-Token-|-Medal-By-Affer-Of-Italy

I dont know if it's nickel/zinc/silver or what but it is EXTREMELY heavy and EXTREMELY large. I've put a penny next to it to show size.

Anyone know?

Any markings on the edge?

No there are no markings on the edge. There are however two markings on the front that the scan doesn't really show. "Affer" is printed under his chin and "Italy" is printed on his right shoulder.
