I'd like a few more sets to find the best ones but these are nice to look at. Sorry for the lighting, it was a coffee table job.

Not a huge fan of the Satin coins, but I do like the 2009 penny designs.

The satins cents are my favorites, No Spots! & made from real bronze.

I have quite a few sets cut from mint sets stockpiled.

Well, I didn't know satin from Adam. I had heard others saying they were not great but perhaps it's because they are used to the zinc mint sets from previous years? I don't have earlier satins to compare to and I don't yet have the 2009 proofs to compare to earlier proofs but I will say that these are beautiful and once you get one in hand I think you'll agree (or your money back :)

I like these better than the cameo proofs that always look kind of fake. These are real pennies!

It would be nice if they continued with the bronze for proofs and mint sets.

Those are nice.

I bought a satin set and the LP1 Philly coin looks like road kill. The others are nice, but that one is HORRIBLE. I'm going to have to find a replacement because it's REALLY bad. I'm going to break them out of the OP soon, I'll take a pic of the LP1.

I wish I had more to pick from. I showed the best sides I had. Amazes me how messed these can get. What's the procedure? Rip them from the sets and throw them across the room? How can one from a mint set look like roadkill? Oh yeah! They don't care about the cents!!

Wish they sent these out in rolls!!

Are the satin cents available only in the mint sets or can they be found in circulation?

The bronze composition is only found in 2009 P&D mints sets or S proof sets.
For a complete collection of all varieties of 2009 cents there are a total of 20 coins.

They were only available in the mint sets; however, like any mint or proof set coin, they can be broken out and spent.
