My latest Post Colonial acquisition that I thought I'd share.
Of English origin, thought to be minted around 1820, although some speculate earlier. Has a nice even chocolate brown on obverse and reverse.

The ones I've seen show a lot of wear. The bust on this one still has nice detail. Nice specimen.

Awesome surfaces. I've seen how difficult it can be to find earlier coppers without major corrosion etc

That's one of the reasons I liked it. Choice surfaces. So many are damaged or have environmental issues.
