Back story, only that my Father passed away years ago and My mother needed me to get into the safe for her birth certificate and after days of searching for the combination I was finally able to get into it. My father just liked keeping any silver he came across and purchased a few for the years of everyone's birth years. Oh, and the rest he bought I guess just because..lol

Nice collection. I would like to get my hands on that...
You start collecting because of him? Or just a coincidence that you both collect coins?

That is a nice collection! Glad that you have an appreciation of your dads hobby (addiction). Hope my kids do one day.

WOW! Nice silver hoard, and a good time to discover it while silver is so valuable! All though I'd encourage you to hang onto it, a perfect little nest egg for a rainy day. I'd be going through all of those rolls and pulling out any additional silver.

NICE!
Wow!
I would get a large amount of 2 x 2's and start protecting all those beautiful coins!

Newbismatic, I guess I did start collecting because of my Father. I gave him his only gold coin once I bought a few for myself, it was given back to me after he passed though.
I'll be putting them into 2x2's next time we open the safe.
It's funny, Even though I give my nieces and my 1 nephew old silver as gifts I think my nephew is the only other in my family that really likes these old coins although my brother knows enough to keep any he finds.
I'm still searching for about $150 face value of various Silver certificate bills we collected over the years...big house...small safe..lol

We will keep them even if I have to buy them from my brother and sister's once my Mother passes on. I just hope the price of silver is down at the time! lol
