James, Does ANACS receive one type of coin for grading more than any other percentage wise? I would assume if you see more of one coin percentage wise, your graders would be even more precise on that type of coin.I'm sure their excellent on all coins but when you look at an overwhelming number of the same type you start to know every facet of the coin. Thanks, Terry
I would venture to say that we see a disproportionate number of Morgan dollars. I suspect that is due to the fact that we attribute more than 3000 VAMS, whereas all the other services attribute only 100 to 150 VAMS. (The fact that we have John Roberts attributing VAMS for us not only allows us to do this, but he is universally recognized as the best at VAMS. If you don't believe me, just ask Leroy Van Allan, the first two letters in VAM.)
We also see a lot of Lincoln cents, but so do all the services. Lately, we've been seeing a huge increase in gold.
