I came across these minor ink issues recently.

The $2's have the same digit under inked on both sides. The errors I have seen for sale have the same digits "missing the Ink" totally. Some what neat and never came across one of these with issues on both SN's.

The $1 has a semi bold impression of a "wet ink transfer" on the obverse. The note before this has the same impression (it's lighter in color). Looks like a thump print.

Edit to load correct pic.

I suspect John Q. Public would not believe those to be true errors unless they are graded.

Agreed on that, but it does create an opportunity once in while when they shown up (legit errors) on the bay.

Just found this note about 10 minutes ago and noticed the seal right away. The rest of the note looks fine.

On the light numbers, the money factory has turned out a lot of notes using bad ink, especially black. I've seen like new notes that look seriously used. Some you can roll them back and forth and the ink falls off like powder. What looks weird is the green is still sharp and bright.

It very well could be under inked and which BEP product are you referring to? Thanks

The reason the green ink stays on longer - MORE green ink is used during the over printing process than black ink (ratio of green to black).

Nick, Someone had some (on ebay) "over inked district seals" where the notes had a solid black rim / circle and all you saw was the fed district "alpha"...sort of neat.
