so I tried asking the question in the JFk hunting thread but to no avail, I was not answered.

at the bank I received a roll of halves with a date stamped on the wrapped, "july 5, 1975" and insisde was a roll of UNC 1976-D halves.

this is not a shotgun roll, it is roll that can open on both ends.

what would be the fair market value of these if I were to try and sell them. and would these be worth holding onto for the next 30 years?

$10? there was a bunch of them minted and BU examples abound if it was an oringinal bank roll there may be a slight premium for an error searcher but I dont think there any known errors for that year maybe Cuds or die cracks or rotated dies have you looked at them all?

I agree, not much premium on the Bicentenials unless they were silver... They are everywhere...

its a waste of time to put them on ebay, your only going to get max 12-15 then minus fees. I bought 2 of each obr of 1976 p and d for 12 each shipped minus ebucks too so not really worth it

10 dollars per roll thats all they are worth...they just made way too many of them to be worth anything.
Rest in Peace

We'd get $13-14 on ebay for circ rolls, an unc roll would be $15-16 plus shipping. start at 15 and see what happens. like bryan says, pretty much a waste of time, but if you clear 13 after fees, you got a 30% return on your money. volume....

There's a reverse Cud that is worth some money and of course gems carry a premium.

In this case it almost has to be choice gem to be worth much and superb gem to warrant grading.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.
