I think the "easy to find" comment meant "easy to spot - if you ever find one". I doubt it was implying they are common.

I have been looking through rolls for these since 1983 and to date have never found one.

HOWEVER...

I did a roll-exchange from here in Missouri with a collector in Florida so we could look through some of each others' change, and he found one in the box I sent there. My typical luck.

Agree on Pa...Waynesboro to be exact....the tellers were scooping them up because it was front page news in the local paper.

Nice photos... and I believe you are right... I would've spotted this. Never say die.
As to the roll exchange "ouch" .... statistical probability is weird and wonderful... you just never know.
