biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 03/07/2011 3:44 pm LOL, when I saw your post I thought I was going to have to issue a correction- a die crack is not the same thing as a cracked die. However, upon seeing your picture, cracked die is indeed correct More specifically, it would be terminal die break error and the die would not have been able to strike too many more coins before complete failure. There might even be a massive matching Cud for this one out there somewhere. BTW, that is definitely not a common occurrence. I am not too sure of a value but I would say $25-50 would not be surprising for a die break of that size. Very nice find Report this Post to the Staff

This is a very uncommon one, and the first I've seen from 2006. Id say worth between $100 and $175. I am currently trying to assemble a complete collection of all known Roosevelt die cracks from 2001 and up just like this one. I will post pictures later hopefully for comparison.
