Its nothing. It was done by chemicals to remove the copper plating. I've seen so many people post these type of coins. To answer the question what to look for as far as the unplated linolns the coin will be shiney or smooth like a regular copper penny. If its dull and grey and look like sandpaper most likely it was chemically removed. If its shiney or smooth you might have something. These type of errors are extremely rare. They go for 125-200 if you ever find one.
