1966 Washington Quarter - Error? - Coin Community Forum

Ralph Pillar of the Community United States 1582 Posts	Posted 09/29/2006 11:55 am My Washington quarter collection consists of ones I've gotten in change, and I haven't paid all that much attention to them other than the date and mint mark; however, the date on this particular coin kind of jumped out at me when I looked at it. I posted scans of only the date and the bottom of the bust as that seems to be the only area that shows any abnormality. The second six seems to have a little something extra there, and the bottom of the bust seems to have a little doubling. Is this common for this type and date?
