My Washington quarter collection consists of ones I've gotten in change, and I haven't paid all that much attention to them other than the date and mint mark; however, the date on this particular coin kind of jumped out at me when I looked at it.
I posted scans of only the date and the bottom of the bust as that seems to be the only area that shows any abnormality. The second six seems to have a little something extra there, and the bottom of the bust seems to have a little doubling.
Is this common for this type and date?

That's post-mint damage. Looks like something hit the date and the bottom of the bust before the coin was worn. No extra value.
