I know that I should NOT admit to this, but I'm missing some kind of gene. The problem I have manifests itself twice per year when the time changes.

I always use ebay's built-in scheduler for EVERYTHING I list. I want everything I list to end in 7 days, between 10 and 11 PM MY time, which is 7 to 8 PM Pacific time. So I sit in front of my PC, usually on Saturday mornings and, using ebay's scheduler, I set everything up to go "live" later that night between 7 and 8 PM Pacific time.

Now...when the time changes BETWEEN when your listing goes live and when it ends...you have to make an adjustment on when you start it. If you start it at 7:30 PM Pacific time, it's gonna end at either 6:30 or 8:30...depending on which time change it is you're dealing with.

Don't you know that I have NEVER, EVER gotten it right? Is that pathetic or what? And when you adjust incorrectly, you don't miss your ending time by ONE hour...oh no! You miss it by TWO!

I wish ebay would just compensate for this (for dummies like me) and just end it at the hour and minutes that correspond exactly to the hour and minutes that I'm seeing when I am listing.

Okay..so now that you're all having a good laugh at my expense, tell me how YOU would have done it yesterday...and why.

I hate the time changes. We move it up just to move it back?

I'm too old to spring forward, but man can I fall back! Must be from all the practice of falling in college. I can handle the one later in the year. Noon becomes 11? Cool. Snooze.

But, I hate this one. 11 has become noon? I'm already an hour late for work? No snooze? What?!

Not that I have solved your ebay problem, but if it has listed for 166 hours, what's 168?

I just wait for the email that says "Your item has been sold!"
