Machine Doubling from what I can see. Doubling on the MM is the giveaway.Nice pics but close ups of the areas in question would be better.

I would need close-up pics to be sure but going by your pic you posted I don't think it's a DDO .

i thought all 72' has some master die hub doubling ? the 7 AND 2 if I recall? maybe a little on the G in god as well

But the doubling was on every example of the 72 date coins and that makes it common ,

so I think he has master die doubling found on all the 1972's with some Machine Doubling

lucleus...this one is MD..what coppertop is saying isn't quite right, but you'll see many examples of 72 lincolns with just slight doubling froma master die...I notice it especially on the "D" in god. Best thing to do when you find something is to go to coppercoins.com and do a variety search. It has good pics and markers to look for.Generally, everything else will be MD or the slight doubling I just mentioned.

Not all 1972 cents were effected by master hub or master die doubling. It is estimated that about 50% of all 1972 cents are effected. That leaves 50% that are normal. This one is normal and it has Machine Doubling.

hmm...and I'm not even sure that 1972S-1DO-002 is even a real doubled die. That one might have to be removed.
