Hi All Hope you all smell like silver and copper as I do.
I was looking for a few coins for my brother last night and i\ came across a couple of odd looking 1977 quarters they look as if they are wrinkles and the 25 cent words between the caribou horns is not there on one and on the other you can just see the outline of an oversize messy 25. The Queen is not clear either nor her crown.
On a 2004 the t is just about invisible and on another r2006 there is what looks like a coil between the n and t.And on a 1975 the 25 is there but no word cents, same on a 1977.
Also I was wondering why it is so hard to find a 1997 quarter?
Thanks for listening and for any help. Charlesfarley

It would be nice if you could post some pics for us, it would give us a better idea of what to look for.
With regard to the 1997 25cents they were not issued for circulation
but are found in proof or prooflike sets.

I have Been able to get good photos on my JVC mini camcorder.Little did I Know eight years ago I would need special software to down load the still shots. y friend is going to try and do it in the morning.I am really excited about this While I am here I got my order of new 2011,$.50 coins from the mint. I am really disappointed the finish on the Queens face looks like it is bubbling off and it's supposed to be $12.50 in the roll and it is one coin short .I still have a roll I wanted to save . Has anyone else had bad coins?
