I have recently been pulling Australian coins from the foreign
coin boxes at local coin shops. They sell these coins by weight.

So far I have 14 two dollar coins and 23 dollar coins.
Also some 10 and 20 ... I am guessing cents.

Some have different reverses, like the 2007 dollar.
Are there any dates I should look for, the dates range from
the 1980's to 2007.

Also I posted on the trade section, that I am interested in
sending these back to Australia and hoping it is possible to trade
for a silver bullion coin.

Wesley: a good point, well spotted.
0.008 million = 8,000.

Initially, I thought "That sounds like 'mint sets only' ...".
But that doesn't square with the statements on the same page of the RAM website:
"No $1 coins were produced in 1989, 1990 or 1991."
which would mean that there no mint sets in those years - at least not with $1 coins, and we know that that's not true ...
1992 was the year of the Barcelona dollar - not shown on the RAM site, but there's plenty of them on ebay.
A mystery ...

Mint website is wrong for 1992 Mob of Roos dollar. This has been confirmed by email. Not wanting to blow my own trumpet or anything but the list of dollar coins and mintages on our website is currently the best researched and most up to date. We've actually supplied corrections to the author of the McDonalds catalogue because of the mistakes in there (several were included in the current guide). Here's a link to our list:

and 1992 coins:

Is there anyone at the Mint who can be contacted to revise the website claim of 8000 1992 Kangaroo dollar coins if this information is incorrect?
