I decided to try buying some dies varieties on ebay with mixed results. I bought a few that are clearly what the seller claimed. I also picked up a few that looked minor/questionable when I could get them for cheap (~$1) so worst case, I'm only out a few bucks. I'll post some pics of those and you can tell me which you think are legit and which aren't.
Thanks.

First up, the alleged RPMs:

58 D/D

59 D/D

Now, The alleged OMM

55 D/S

Last, a couple alleged DDOs. Best pics I could take showing doubling

60 proof

The proof coin might need a few more shots. The rest I've seen enough.

The 64 is not a DDO, the 1960 has potential and I think it may be but a few more shots would be needed.

The 1955 D/S is good.....Using the older numbers from the Cherrypickers's Guide, it looks like FS # 5c - 034

The rest I'm not so sure....

Thanks,
Bill

As requested, a couple more pics of the proof. I had talked myself out of it but now I think it is a doubled die, albeit a minor one.

Coop, are you saying you've seen enough of the rest of them because there's nothing there? I thought the 58 D/D and the D/S might be good.

Only the 55 D/S and the proof doubled die are what you thought they might be. The rest is - well, just nickels.

Thanks for the clarification. Lesson learned about buying die varieties based on what the seller says they are.

Any seller who's worth dealing with is going to be able to show you close ups of exactly what they're selling. This forum should be evidence enough that you shouldn't take someone's word for it. But if you can clearly see that the variety is what it's stated to be, don't be shy. ebay can be an excellent place to find quality stuff.
