Hey guys I have what might be a stupid question. I have an ace 250 and an AT PRO, I have only been digging the signals that I "hit" when I sweep the coil both ways. Should I be diggin the signals that only get a signal on "one swing"

Does this make sense? I was wondering if a coin was really deep if i'll only get a signal on one arc of the swing or if I should only did the "true signals"

Thanks for any help .
Rest in Peace

You might be swinging in such a manner that the coil is away from the ground in one direction. I've had customers that couldn't understand why they were hardly finding anything. When they showed me their swing, it was like golf. When the swing was near their feet, the coil was near the ground, but at the start and end of the swing, it was a foot off the ground.

If a signal repeats then yes dig it. if the coin is at an angle it may only register in one direction. If you get repeatable beeps swinging the same direction over a target then chances are its because there is something there. Your Ace is not the best machine for gold and it will often only be a poor signal that reveals a gold earring or something..

That is a really hard question .. because the answer can depend on many things.

Like if it is a really good area .. you should dig every signal that your not sure of.

You can get a lock on a target from one direction, when a good target is close to a
target that the detector is discriminating out. Like a nail with a coin, sweep one way
might lock on the coin, sweep the other direction and it might be picking up the nail.
