I have been searching all over the web for some kind of information regarding the Great Britain large cents. I live in the US but at coin shows people always have foreign coin buckets where coins are like 4 for a dollar or something. They have a lot of large cents but was wondering some information on them. I like trying to complete sets even though for the most part I probably wont complete them, it gives me a goal. I'm wondering the years that the coins were made. They are coins that have like the king on the front and what looks like king triton from the little mermaid on the back. I cant find any information on the web so maybe I am calling them the wrong name or something. Even if trying to get a big group of these coins together is very hard I might buy them because large cents are really cool to me. Any info on them is greatly appreciated

If you have one, a picture would really help.

British copper coins of this type are called pennys, not cents. The word "Penny" on the back is a bit of a giveaway. Cent's would be very innappropriate as there was 240 of these to the pound - not 100.
Try your searches with "penny" and see what turns up.

one more thing as well would 3 or 4 for a United states dollar be a good deal? I am interested in the coin not really the value of the collection afterward but I don't want to buy common coins at high prices like I said earlier I love the way the coins look and they are a lot cheaper then US Large Cents

Yeah, 4 for a dollar is good. You can get all the way back to 189X for this price.

4 for $1 is also a good price for Aussie Ha'pennies and Pennies. Good hunting!
