Can anyone give me any insight as to what this coin may be?

The obverse (assuming) has the date, split by a large R with a crown.

The reverse says 24 EINEN THALER

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Sounds like Germany - Kingdom of Prussia - 1/24 Thaler. The obverse is not just an "R", but a crowned "FR", which was a monogram for Friedrich II. I do not own 18th Century Krause, so not sure of the price of it.

Roman.

KLD had one pictured in this thread. His 1/24th is gone, but my 1/48th is still visible - they look the same, but different... (sometimes the monograms are bold and seriffed, sometimes cursive and 'vine-like'.)

I thank you both for your help. I really knew nothing about it.

Yes, the one on ebay is identical, aside from one year.
Bummer, an "UNC" is only $50.
Mine is probably a F or so, but corroded. I gave $13 for mine.

Thanks again for the help!
