My question is: Medal of Honor Comm. vs US Army Comm. vs First Spouse Gold, which design/coin would you choose?
I received the promotion mail from the Mint for Medal of Honor coins ($5 discount per coin). I was thinking of getting one set (Gold, Silver, Clad) of the Medal of Honor.
However, I also saw the US Army Commemorative Coins set design and I was kind of indecisive between the two Commemorative coins.
Now, throw in there the First Spouse 24k gold coin. So far, I've got Jefferson Liberty, Buchanan Liberty, and was thinking of getting the First Spouse 24k gold coin (Marry Todd Lincoln in particular but I would also like to hear other recommendation (other First Spouse, instead of Marry Tod Lincoln)).
So, my dilemma is that I have to decide and chose one of these options: a) Medal of Honor Comm coins, including Proof and Uncir (Gold, Silver), complete set for the theme. b) US Army Comm coins, including Proof and Uncir. (Gold, Silver, Clad), complete set for the theme. c) First Spouse 24k gold coin (Proof Only). d) First Spouse 24k gold coin (Uncirculate Only). e) Combination of First Spouse (Proof OR Uncir.) AND either Medal of Honor Silver (Proof & Uncir) OR US Army Silver (Proof & Uncir) f) Combination of First Spouse (Proof OR Uncir.) AND Medal of Honor Silver (Proof & Uncir) AND US Army Clad (Proof & Uncir)
Please note: The average overall cost for each option is about $1000 +/-; SO, please consider these options base on: 1) The coins appeals to you (design/theme). 2) Capital preservation for the long run (chance of loosing value). 3) Potential capital increase (they are mostly PM coins, so the major differences in future value should come from: quantities minted and/or collectors appeals).
I need to decise by March 28, if I want to save any money on the Medal of Honor coins.
Thank you for all of your inputs. Edited by SA4H 03/21/2011 5:15 pm
