Here's a question for someone who's up on the Royal Family.
I was looking at the new coins of Prince William and Prince Harry today when I noticed that on the box for Prince Harry he was referred to as Prince Henry yet on the coin its self he was called Prince Harry.
Any chance that this is a mistake of some sort ( which would be great) or is his name really Henry, Harry being a nick name?

'Harry' is a nickname. Interesting point you have here!
Real name Prince Henry Charles Albert David of Wales.

I knew a mistake like that would be too much to hope for, oh well.

Prince Henry Charles Albert David of Wales, that's a mouthful.

thanks Canucky

It is really interesting.

The last two kings have been called Albert and David, yet we have not had a king David or Albert ever.

In theory Charles will become King Charles the Third. But as Charles is called Charles Philip Arthur George he could choose one of these. someone on wikipedia has suggested he will choose George, like his grandfather being George VII. Charles I was beheaded famously and could have been the last king, his son ended up in exile, who wants to be king charles? And charles is not related to charles I!

William could be William V, or he could use Arthur, Philip or Louis, image him being Louis I. Harry's first name is Henry and he would be King Henry IV if something happened to William! That would make him the first king to be the ninth king of any name.

It's my understanding that you can choose names not in your own current name as well. As King, you can style yourself as you please. King Ugly the 1st has a nice ring to it ;) but I don't think it will make the short list somehow.

King Ugly .... hmmm ...

Have you looked at William's hairline recently? Will he have any hair by the wedding day?

So, I guess it will be a crown for his coin obverse. Like his great-grandfather's Newfoundland coinage.
