hi All, still trying to get this one, would this be a RPM or just another MD. I noticed the notch, but the filled in mint mark makes it hard to tell for me?

RPM?-Or-Another-MD?

The D mint punch had a chip out of the corner in 1979. Hundreds of millions of coins were made with a D mintmark punch that looked just like yours.

ok, I just got it due to another post. so all coins from 79 had this issues on the "D" mints? Also, if this would have been another year, would the notch like this be what I am looking for on the minor RPM's?

All denominations from Denver that year can have the damaged punch as it was used for all of them in 1979 till it was replaced.
