I am not the expert but it appears to be what is called a Dryer Coin. Where the coin spends some time in the fins of a dryer and the constant banging make the coin's rim spoon over (kind of like when you make a coin ring). A broadstruck coin would be larger than a normal coin as it is struck out of the collar.
While the coin is damaged...it is not a " Dryer Coin". There is no way to tell who did what to it but the edge was compressed without effecting the details on the obverse or reverse of the coin. definitely not a Dryer Coin though.
