These are both 1958-Ds. The one on the top is "typical" and I'll be a monkey's uncle if the one on the bottom isn't from a hub design change.

So, make a money's uncle out of me, this is your big opportunity.

It looks like Lincoln had rhinoplasty. His nose appears to be considerably longer in the bottom image.

OK, that's a start, at least we christened this rhino-job. It's the 1958-D Pinocchio.

I can see we're all real big on hub design changes around here. Anyway, if you might be interested, after just having gone through 38 of these, we found another one--an exact match. FWIW...

Does it have the same markers as the first one found? If so it would be from the same dies?

Richard, I'll really have to look over these good. I'll get back to you on that. I'll post a closeup of the other one, too, in the same size and orientation. It won't be long, probably by tonight. Thanks.

Well, here are the two we've found, #1 and #2, respectively, side-by-side. I'm afraid the best I can do is take pictures. Even then, those aren't going to win any prizes. What do you expect from a Brownie Starmite II?

Seriously, though, I can't find anything on these coins that might connect them to the same die. Then, again, my setup isn't exactly equipped to be that exacting. Suffice it to say, these two out of 38 have longer noses and appear to be cut a little differently at the bridge of the nose and above the cleft than the other 36 we looked at. They seem to be a little more curved in those areas.

I lament that I'm unable to gift wrap this one up for you folks the way you might require to take a reasonable shot at answering the question. I'll say this much, though. If my "YN" can find one of these, I'll bet those of you searching cents, regularly, have run across a few, yourselves, you just weren't paying attention. This is the best I can do, though, really, take pictures. If you want any more, let me know, no problema. Thanks.
