All this discussion for an obvious PMD coin amazes me ... and quite honestly IMHO detracts from the learning environment that the CCF supports.

with that sentiment.

THANK YOU DAVID. It was my understanding when I joined that this was a serious arena that promoted education and learning. I've personally stopped paying as much attention to most of the threads because our words have become fluff. There's no information or anything to learn in half of what is posted. Do you have something (of value) to share? PLEASE DO!

ziggy9: I think your coin must have been hit a fairly close range with a slug that was travelling fast. My plugged nickel is deeply dished, but still in one piece, and I suspect that is was hit with perhaps a .32 cal projectile from a low velocity hand gun.

I am no gun expert, but I was involved in the design and construction of a shooting range for the Sydney 2000 Olympics. It was one of a number of similar design projects I was involved in at the time for the Australian army.

I may perhaps know a little more about the design of rifle ranges than the use of guns.

It was like a car wreck! Why did I spend 30 seconds reading that?
