I have a few rolls of Indain heads and there are a few cleaned coins.
Some are very good dates with full liberties. I would have thought that they would have bene worth nothing but copper, but I looked at sales on ebay and it appears that people are willing to plunk down some good money for these. This revelation has turned a good buy into an amazing buy. I wwould like to send pics but my camera doesn't work. Sorry
Can someone please explain this? Thanks I am a little confused as I thought a cleaned coin was basically worthless.

Cleaning will impact the numismatic value of a coin by 30 to 60%. It does not, however, render a coin worthless. Usually, a dip has much less impact on value than an abrasive cleaning. If the only problem with a copper coin is color there are still plenty of folks willing to pay good money for keys and semi keys

To a knowledgable collector, it should bring down the price. If it's real extreme, I suppose one could call it, "basically worthless." Bottom-line, every collector has his or her own yardstick by which he or she measures "market acceptable," and the TPGs do, too.
