Ya, but it be more fun to get $100 (10,000) pennies and find one then still have $99.99 in pennies to buy other coins!

I would say your chances are pretty good finding one in every 2-3 boxes of pennies.

But don't overlook all the other varieties that are just as valuable. I know there are still some High Relief (A to denticle) 1948 pennies still out there in circulation, and possibly even some 1955 no shoulder folds. Good luck with your searching let us know how you do....

can Logo or P be removed to make a 2006 One Cent no P no Logo Magnetic?
bad photo of Item 120770448076 ?
Just think the 2006 P is Magnetic & the p is small, so a good metal artist could fool a few ?

I think you'd be able to tell if the P or the logo was removed... and if it was removed, the auction would be a fraud and you'd have protection as a buyer through both ebay and PayPal.

I don't think this coin is all that rare. Don't buy into the hype.

I agree with merclover. Metallic varieties are interesting, but I don't think they have any real long term value as a variety. Of course I could be wrong. It appears some people are snatching these up and hoarding them, probably in the hopes they will be extremely valuable one day. As a coin collector they don't interest me much, but as long as people are willing to pay for them thats their business.

I dont believe that the 2006 no mint mark no p magnetic is as rare as originally thought. Eeach year the POP reports climb. I do however believe that the 2006 P Non Magnetic cent is still Extremely Scarce and will hold great value forever. How many of these have we seen at auctions or on ebay, one ?

darryldarryl, I have searched through many dozens of boxes of pennies and have yet to find even one 2006 p cent of any variety, whereas I have located 5 of the thread title variety, all of which I have sold.

I agree hopping_rabbit. I have 2 of the topic coins and have the good fortune of owning 1 2006P Non magnetic which is posted on page two of this thread. This coin is one of the magnetic/nonmagnetic varieties which I think will always have incredible value.
By the way, I grew up one block away from Dundas and Roncesvalles.

You are right again...hopping_rabbit, that's why you already sold yours..take the money & run, as the song says!
in the very 1st post of this thread he asked...
'Are these actually scarce? I see a few around and I have to wonder if everyone wants to sell them how rare they can actually be.'
more & more of the 2006 no mint mark no p magnetic are found often and the POP reports keep climbing. I still believe that 1-3 million exist, that's why I will not pay $60 or more for one & there are many people just hoarding these. BUT I would give $600 for the '2006 P Non Magnetic cent'

I agree with the above, but I'm not yet ready to drop $600. It's too early to know if more are sitting out there somewhere.

The latest report was 72 or 73. Unlike the 2006 no p no mint mark, you dont see a million of the them for sale on ebay graded or raw.
