I had the good fortune today to trade a couple silver eagles (bought for $1 each at the bank... long story!) for a set of BU War Nickels. Thought I'd post a few pictures 4-5 of these have gorgeous rainbow toning on the reverse:

Very Nice, I had a couple of sets similiar to that a few years back. Sold them for next to nothing when silver was low, low, low. Sure wish I saved one now.

I think now is a good time to buy these sets they are getting expensive to assemble from BU rolls even at dealer wholesale.

We're starting to hit the sweet spot where these nickels are considered classic/old and of course they are backstopped by a bit of silver value.

Nice acquisition Fenton
Silver War Nickels look so nice in BU,
what a great composition in those years.
Too bad they loose their beauty so much
when circulated.

I'm so jealous....... ....
With around 200 War Nickels to my collection....... I DON'T HAVE A SINGLE ONE THAT IS BU ! ....
And the Dansco remains bare for these.....
I "do" have my circulated ones in my "circulated" Jefferson "folder".......but.......no BU's....

I need to see what a full set would cost me, one of these days !
