I bought these yesterday, paid the agreed price and stuck them in my pocket. Got them home and saw that these 3 are in pretty good shape. I am hoping you all could put a grade on these, I have an idea what I believe they are so I would like to see if I am close. 1921 1921 1884-O Thanks

#1 Au 58 . What is that next to the I in America on the rev. #2 MS 62-63 The reverse is nice! #3 AU50 The hair above the ear is worn also the lower hair look worn. The revers the eagles breast is worn. The legs and talons look to have some wear also. FYI The New Orleans mint is know for weak strikes. IMHO

Thanks Chris, I have been looking at the reverse of the first 1921 and the black area at the "I" in America sort of looks like slight gouge and the silver has turned dark. This coin is very bright and to me has a deep mirror finish.

I will say AU55, MS62, and MS63. Those O coins are usually weakly struck!

First looks polished AU.
Second looks around 63
Third looks 64, but poorly struck as most O coins are. nice luster!

Perhaps it is just hte pictures, but the last 2 coins look flat to me and don't have much luster. Does it look like they have been dipped to anyone else?

I believe it is the lighting, they both have good luster especially the reverse of the 1884-O.

1. Definitely either polished or dipped too many times. 2. MS-60 3. Toughest to grade. Could be AU-55 to MS-63

After a second look, I think number 2 is closer to MS63 nice mint frost on it

First coin may also be PL; has the look of a 21-PL

That's what I was thinking...I stared at that coin for some time and just didn't know what to think although I still say it's MS.

The reverse on that second 1921 is spectacular can't find a mark on it

What do you make of the halo effect around every detail on the first one? I thought that was a dead ringer for a polished coin.
The second one does have a few marks on the reverse (above the G in God, to the right of the arrows, under the E in United, as well as a rim nick at the bottom). I don't think it matters though because the marks on the cheek, eye, and left field will keep it from going over 62 IMO.
