I have a collection of really nice stuff, and want to declare victory on 300 or so of my acquisitions----i.e., sell them and replenish my dwindling cash supply. talking about 25+ CC Morgans 63 and above, 20 other Morgans 63+. gold coins from $1-20, 10 Bust Halves in VF-AAU. pile of Large Cents. some beautiful uncirc and proof Indian pennies. etc. no junk. even have an AU $5 gold minted in Charlotte.

E-bay is a possibility, but an expensive one. Do not want to sell at dealer wholesale---that's what I paid for most of this stuff. No time for retailing in classic sense (shop, or booth at coin show). and no time or energy to peddle them one at a time. craigslist has been pretty good for finding acquisitions, but not for selling.

What I really want to do it sell 10+ at a time, to avid collectors, about halfway between graysheet/bluesheet and full retail. I make a quick nickel, and leave some meat on the bones for my buyer.

How the heck do I do this?

Don't dismiss ebay so quickly. While everyone complains about their fees, the roughly 12% that you pay (including the paypal fee) isn't all that bad when compared to other outlets like Heritage. It has the further advantage that it's effort-minimal. You don't have to go to shows, your buyers come to you.

I agree with Wei Fun (once again)...eBay is almost a guaranteed sale and 12% isn't that much compared to any others that will actually sell your coins quickly..better pics bring better money too.

I'm in the market for some 63+ morgans/peace. If I were you I would not use ebay and take your time selling it. Its worth the extra monies.

Pending on where you live there some other alternatives. Using Google or other search sites try to find a coin show in your area. Or even a coin club. If you find a coin show, you may want to try selling at one or going there and see what you would be offered for the entire collection. Same at a coin club. Although most coin stores would really try to low ball you on prices, if you find the right one, might get a decent price for the entire collection and no postage, nandling, insurances, paypal fees, lost in the mail, etc.
Or as noted stick around here until you get enought posts and then sell them here.
