Today, I cracked open another new bank roll of 2010 quarters and found three more blank planchets! Now this has me wondering how many are out there. I have yet to hear of any others being found on any of the forums and now I have four of them. This was my previous thread about the first one I found: https://goccf.com/t/84126

You have a lot of luck :) I wonder what the error ratio is with the mint? 3 in 1 roll is quite the odds I would say. Very neat indeed!

We'll see what happens during the next few weeks. If more appear, then it means the mint had a problem with their computers. I spoke to a friend who say's these should have been caught by the mint.

Blanks will have marks and minor dings until they are struck. The striking removes the most minor defects as the metal flows to fill the voids (design) in the die. Also, coming from a roll of business strikes the coins themselves are dinged because they are dumped into large bins until they are rolled.

WOW.. That's almost unheard of, three in one roll. A person is lucky to find one in a life time..

I have a feeling a few more might pop up across the country. I can't see how I could have the only ones out of the millions of quarters that were minted. Non-collectors may just be tossing these thinking they are slugs. Quote: Oh,just one quick question:Were the 3 blanks together in the roll? Mixed in, not back to back if that's what you were asking.

Quote: Out of curiosity, how much are plated steel quarter planchets worth? $20-$40 - but I would say closer to the lower end. Quote: I'm starting to think you work at a bank! I work in a restaurant where we have VLT machines, dine-in and delivery, so we get a lot of daily cash flow. Part of my job is to sort the cash. If I worked in a bank I would get any work done.

I thought about making a coin exchange machine business/franchise like coin star. I dream about sorting the coins and find something valuable. I've been a dreamer all my life, that is what I am doing for living too. I am an Architect/Designer that dream about making something and doing it! See my motto: It started in a dream. My ideas always coming in a dream while I am sleeping. But not all of them works, like this coin exchange idea:)
