What has caused this coin to look worn at liberty? As crisp as the detail is at other areas, why does liberty look so worn?

Yeah, looks like a strike issue/worn die, but may be Struck Through Grease as its REALLY mushy even with sharper unc details.

Can't prove it but I have a bad feeling about that coin. I suspect it may not be good.

IMHO, the coin is genuine but may well have undergone conservation efforts to cover environmental damage. to my eye, it appears to have been retoned, artificially colored. Note the patchy areas. This seller has good numbers going for him, too.

It's a real coin, it has the correct markers for the date but that is one weird looking obverse. I agree with ExoGuy, someone has done something artificial to the coin.
