Did they switch the metal composition for the 2011 1c coins? I am a bit confused here.

Are we talking those 1974 (forget the actual year) prototype pennies which were issued to congressmen and stuff but they didn't return? Yah my barber's brother's co-worker's aunt received a handful of those in MS quality from a congressman back in the day and gave them to me recently. I'm having problems finding the right dansco page to put them in.

No aluminum, but I just found a 1943 copper Wheat penny.

Do you think it's worth anything?

I also got a 1942 steel cent in change at the gas station. Its my lucky day.

Wow! Nice finds! I just stopped and got the two boxes of Morgan dollars that I ordered from my pick up bank...can't wait to open them.

Whoa! I found 15 BU unopened rolls of 1909 S VDB pennies! The thing is they are aluminum and the rolls say made in China

I guess those are then really 1909 C VDB's since they were minted in China.
