Hi all, Hate to say it, but I think I've finally been bamboozled. I placed a smallish order, just under $175 in early February. Seller's website seemed like a small outfit. Emailed with the seller saying he usually does coin shows and use to run a store but no longer does. The website looked new, but prices seemed fair (for Feb). I knew it was a risk b/c I was doing money order. Anyway, seller said he received it and sent the package on Feb 25. Its now been over a month, and still no package. I know the postal system is slow but not this slow! Haven't heard from the seller in 2 weeks. Anyways here's the website to warn others: http://bradleyhicks.com/ Seems like a lot of work to scam someone out of a few hundred dollars. Maybe others have bought gold coins from them.. who knows. I have a number and will try calling again. I believe he's based in Cartersville or Acworth, Georgia. I could be wrong, and the package can be lost in customs or something, but not hearing from them for 2 weeks kind of puts up red flags. Anyways, Just don't want anyone else getting ripped off buying gold coins or something. I'll just have to write off the hundred dollars as a lesson learned.

Sorry to hear about your issue with this seller. Doesn't seem to be much inventory, and a couple of his buffaloes are priced under current melt, and those are the premium bullion coins compared with the AGE, and he's got plenty of dead links on his page, so those would the red flags for me from placing an order with this outfit. I try not to send money orders to businesses for bullion orders as a first transaction without having first bought something from them with a credit card. Hope it is just "lost" in the mail and/or he makes good on your funds.

Yea, he explained his lack of inventory by saying his website was new. When I ordered in Early Febraury, the prices were quite fair, slightly above spot, which seemed to make sense. I was under the impression that he was an older gentlemen that just didnt' go on the computer everyday.

vinnycoin it still may show up,5 weeks isn't that unusual for a package from the US,especially if Customs has decided to inspect it. On feb 28 I bought a coin from a US seller and it was shipped by Priority Post with tracking. On Mar 8 I bought another coin from the same seller, again shipped via Priority Post. On mar 18 I received an envelope in the mail,it was the coin I had purchased on the 8th.I waited another week then emailed the seller for the tracking# of the first coin. When I checked the # online the USPS said they had received an intent to mail notice on feb28 but could not confirm if the package had been mailed or where it was in the system(I assume this was because the seller had purchased the postage online).Needless to say this started a flurry of emails between myself and the seller.Last thursday the 31st I got a note from the post office to pick up an oversize item, sure enough it was the coin in question, the seller had mailed on mar01,and when I checked online the tracking# still generated the original message. Hopefully your package will still show up,it may just be delayed in some sort of Postal limbo.

Thanks DBM, glad to know I'm not the only one seeing possible delays.
It's not just the delay time that worries me. Its more so that during the last 2 weeks, I've sent out 3 mails inquiring for receipts of delivery, but no emails in response. If they do come in the mail then I will retract the original post.

There is no retracting It does not take Google very long to snarf up posts here. I would bet this post has already been cached and will be available for viewing for all eternity. Simply saying you received your order and all is well will go far, though. I hope the seller is alright.. you said he seemed like an older person?

Yes. I say older because he mentioned he was getting help with the website from his nephew. Mostly with updating and setting up new items. So its either I got scammed, or I'm dealing with someone very new to selling online.
Anyone in the Georgia region by anychance?

Be a little patient, I ordered some staplers and they were six weeks getting here even though the place posted them the nest day. Sometimes customs just sits on stuff, literally at times, I'm sure I saw a bum shaped indent on my last package.

Yeah, vinnycoin, it may show up yet, I agree with the others, I order coins from virginia and it usually takes 3 weeks or so to get here, I order coins from California and can receive them in a week, go figure.

Quote: "especially if Customs has decided to inspect it sit on it until whenever they get around to deciding to send it on". Definitely be patient for longer than two weeks to/from Canada. It's a tighter world now, which means slower movement in cross border bureaucratic systems. After four weeks, I would be a bit concerned.

Not that it's any consolation, but US International 5 Day mail service takes at least a month or more to get here in Guatemala. Go figure. And it's not the customs inspectors here.... Just declare a value and mail anything... They just want the 27% duty.

Good luck on getting the order. USPS is messed up and can't even get their tracking down right. Bought a coin on ebay, March 27, USPS tracking showed it was delivered March 30. I started worrying April 3 as it was never delivered. It arrived/was delivered April 4, go figure. Thought I was getting stiffed.

Acworth is about a 40 minute drive for me, in no traffic. But I live in Atlanta, so no traffic is about midnight until 4:30AM.
