Here is a 1758 1 Real from Guatemala that I have labeled as a double die strike, now I'm not sure as the making of the coin dies may not have required two or more impressions, and honestly I don't know how the dies were made back then...
Maybe someone with more knowledge on this subject can reply...

This is a double strike, but those were common back then afaik.
