It is nice, but I didn't see a match. I thought it was 006, but the ONE was different than your coin. You might need to submit it. Let's see what coppercoins says?

DVCollector thanks jumped right out at me

coop Yeah I've been through all the different dies on coppercoins and it just doesn't match. will have to see if Chuck has time to look at it. He will be keeping pretty busy if he is upgrading his web site.

Excellent find Bullnuke!

I think I remember Chuck saying that there were something like 30 different 1964-D doubled die reverses! Obviously, many of these are unlisted. Yours certainly deserves to be a listed one IMHO!

Looks like there are some very nice die markers to help identify it Especially the die gouge off the right top side of the N in United. Thanks for posting!

Yeah...there are a BUNCH of 1964 doubled die reverse cents. Being that this is a D mint changes things a little. The 30 quote from above was for "P" mint. They are different.

As for D mint, I am in about the same boat as with P mint. The highest die number I have ever seen is 27, while I have seen a die number as high as 63 for P mint. Needless to say, both still have a lot of work to be done on coppercoins.

I doesn't surprise me at all that this one isn't yet listed. In fact, I'm rather surprised when someone finds the 1964 section as a whole even useful in identifying specific dies. Like I said before, it's embarassingly underpopulated.

I'll take care of this coin if you want to send it...
