You know it's funny, we actually met Bob when we listed an 8R on ebay that was a good fake and Bob contacted us about it. (Yes, he ended up buying it from us)

So he joined the forum and would visit once in a while, not very often, usually when I emailed him a link to a post right up his alley. When I did he was right there though, almost like a little kid after candy.

Now just a few weeks ago, I said to Susan, "Swamperbob is officially hooked on this forum now."

She said, "Why do you say that?"

I said, "Because he just used a dancin' nanner in one of his posts!" << True Story

Now here he is.... our newest pillar.

Bob, only the most deserving earn my respect, but you have certainly earned it in my not so humble estimation. I have never run into a true "expert" on counterfeits before you. Instead of recommending books on the subject, you ought to write one (unless you have already done so)! Also, IMNSHO, your new Pillardom should be renamed Forum Counterfeit Master in recognition of your special place here.

Swamperbob, I don't buy items that could be counterfeited or have fakes made (famous last words), as I primarily buy modern commemoratives. I must say that in reading your posts, I have learned a lot about "hokus-pokus" coins that you write about. I have read some comments by very knowledgeable people on this forum about fakes, but their last words always are, wait until Swamperbob gives you the straight "skinny" on the item.
