Not being a Linc cent guy, thats kind of neat. We had a coin donation contest at work 3 months ago and I bought all the change, $156 , mostly pennies, still going through them. I'm hoping to find a Wide AM or longshot DD or RPM. So far only about 20 wheaties and some S MMs. Wonder what the more knowledgable CCF members will have to say about your 83 rev.

How does the "Y" show up so solid and show no signs of the rest of LIBERTY?

Die clashes tend to affect just portions of dies when they clash. On a strong clash more areas are affected. Looks like they spotted the clash mark on bay # 3, but missed the Y from LIBERTY.

Looking at one of coops overlays, it looks like the "Y" should be a little higher up in the bay. Could this be a slightly rotated clash?

It may be an out of rotation or it maybe just where the devices fall for this year. The devices are not always the same location each year. They tend to change them every so often.

This is strange I read this post yesterday. While searching a roll today I just found the same thing. It is a 1983 also.

Fantastic! Die clashes are extremely interesting. Still looking for one. When one knows something exists ... it is immeasurably easier to spot it on your own. Nice photo.

Im only looking for the more servere die clashes now. I found 7 of these in one box alone. They are neat regardless but I'm sick of them to common for me.
