Am I correct that the edge of this nickel could be from the first stage of the planchet ? Is this common for nickels to have this effect.

I believe I seen somewhere that planchets may look like this at the 1st stage out of 3 stages of the planchet.

..................Any ideas anyone?........................

No ! Looks like it is shaped like an Oreo !

Do you Swamper BOB,Morgan Fred, Metalman or Dave have an opinion or any knowledge of this effect on a coin ?

Nearly 100 peeps have looked at it or it has been seen atleast half that amount and only one opinion it is amazing why we are posting anything in order to discuss with others. Is it possible that these coin forums while all the well good for alot of people though profitable for alot of others in many ways from adverstising to finding a newbie with a cherry to purchuse. I am ready for my critisim.

Mishap, I'm one of the people who checked out your nickel without a reply. Simply because I don't have the knowledge to give you an answer. And don't forget there are hundreds of people visiting this site every day, who don't have membership to the forum who check your post out of curiousity. As for cherrypicking, I never had the impression that anyone on this forum wants any of my coins for any reason. So hang in there, keep posting and gleen the knowledge thats available here.
