This 1964-D, Lincoln Cent, doubled die found its way under my scope today and it may just be a "new" one for it is not listed in the files that I have checked so far. This is a strong doubled die reverse with notching on all the letters next to the rim, EPU, the designer's initials and also the right cornice edge where it meets the roof.

Notice the notching on the upper serifs of UNITED STATES of AMERICA and the lower serif notching on ONE CENT. This is a true sign of a doubled die. Also notice the notching on the stylobate edge, just above the doubled designers initials.

Finding things like this makes it all worth while, so, keep on searching, read and study about doubled dies and RPMs, they are out there just waiting to be found.

Well said wavysteps, for me thats what makes error and variety more interesting always searching in circulated, old, mint roll, and bags of coins for a variety and error. If you found one it worth for your effort and I assume somewhat equal to other not on how much money do you have it is more on effort and knowledge.
