I was curious about on ebay those that only buy and have say 100's and 100's or more feedbacks and they are all for buying coins and none for selling coins or anything. Do these buyers have different names for selling or what is the deal? Anyone know

It is always wise to have separate ID's for buying and selling.

If not, you better be real careful complaining to a seller that misrepresented an item. If they neg you it will hurt your sales.

I never thought about that. I guess they would have separate IDs if they're selling a lot. People who sell occasionally might not have separate IDs.

FWIW, I have a fb of 242, all buying. I don't have a separate ID for selling, just have never done it on ebay.

My ebay ID is both buying and selling,, I do not see the need for a seperate ID for both.

My only Negative was received as a buyer,, because I emailed the seller to find out where the coins I had already paid for were they took about three weeks to get here from denver, from where I live I can drive to denver in 11 hours,, go figure !!

I do have 2 id's but have only used the other ID once. My feedback on my "real" id is too high for anyone to do too much damage to me anyway. I am at the point that I do not care anyway....my morals are worth more than my feedback. If a seller deserves a negative then he/she will get it regardless of my feedback rating.

Regardless of how good your feedback or your morals are, one neg on your first page of feedback will cost you bids and money as a seller.

I refuse to risk having a butthead seller neg my selling ID (and cost me money) because I call him on a misrepresented item (or something similar) that I purchased from them. Running this risk makes no sense to me.

I had a buyer with "0" feedback win one of my Morgans for $685 last week and now he won't pay or even respond to emails. He has nothing to loose with a negative feedback and I certainly don't want one on my record as I'm 100% positive right now.I can't figure out why people bid this high when they can't or won't pay. I wish ebay would let you auto block buyer with zero feedback.

On the 7th day, file the NPB alert. If he doesn't respond to that, you can get your fees back and any neg he leaves won't stand because he didn't respond. A buyer must respond to the alert, which I'm pretty sure he won't.

I have it posted on my listings that you have to have 50 feedbacks or more any amount less then contact me before biding and have proof of confirmed address and phone number. If I have someone that doesn't listen then I can go to block bidders and stop them or anyone from bidding on my auction. need the site on ebay to stop bidders I will post it.I've only had to use it once.

IT IS IMPORTANT to have it stated in your auction the amount of feedbacks it takes to bid. Then if those with that amount or lower doesn't meet that criteria and they bid you can add them to the bidders block and it will remove them out of the bidding.
If it is written in your auction it is what a buyer must follow. Bobby is right about taking those steps

I will start doing that.I have put U.S. buyers only on certain auctions, only to have out of country ebayers bid on the item.Theres no way that I know of to check where bidders are from. Also,it doesn't stop bidders with zero feedback from bidding in the last few minute's guess we can only do as much as we can.

If you have seperate ID's for buying and selling will it affect PayPal? Can one account be used for both?
