This still remains my favorite thread...but I think we still need a 1622 in there.

The Polish ort of Sigismund III is dated 1622. The date is split by the shield on the reverse.

What we need right now is a 1616. I haven't got any myself. Hope someone else has one.

With my being away for a while I missed this whole thread.
Sorry, I still would like to share some of my oldies. 1600's will be out of turn , I hope to stay current with 1500's (if we get there).

Riga, Livonia (now Latvia), Swedish occupation, 1/24 thaler, 1623. A bit worn but the date's clear

And Poland, 3 groschen, 1622

I've visited Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, my favorite part of the world, so I'm particularly interested in their (historic) coins, and I'm being on the look out for them. I got the Polish one because it has Lithuanian, as well as Polish, coat of arms on it. Sigizmund ruled over both.

If we can bend the rules a little, I'd like to post my 1661 8 Maravedis (I think that's how it's spelled) of Philip IV of Spain when I get the chance.
