BH1964 Bedrock of the Community United States 10982 Posts	Posted 04/17/2011 01:19 am I was able to purchase this Bermuda 5 oz silver round for slightly over melt price ($225). It's really a cool proof coin and is only 2 1/2" in diameter giving it a much more substantial thickness than the ATB 5 oz coins. From the APMEX website: "This coin depicts a gorgeous rendition of the Sea Venture. Hard to find a more attractive ship coin than this one. Mintage of only 6,800 pieces." I included pics comparing it to the 5oz ATB rounds. I have a 35th anniversary moon landing coin in the exact same measurements. Not as wide, but a nice and thick piece of 5 oz silver and luckily I got it for 200 about two months back.... The 2 1/2" size is much more manageable than the 3" size. Feels more solid as a coin of that weight should be. FYI, The ATBs should have received a face value of $5.00 in line with the $1.00 face of the ASE, IMO... The sponsoring legislation made no sense in this regard, now there is a legal tender coin with 5x the metal of the $1.00 but 1/4 of "face." Go figure. Report this Post to the Staff
