Beautiful coin 
The English call them piedforts, I think. The 2 1/2" size is much more manageable than the 3" size. Feels more solid as a coin of that weight should be. FYI, The ATBs should have received a face value of $5.00 in line with the $1.00 face of the ASE, IMO... The sponsoring legislation made no sense in this regard, now there is a legal tender coin with 5x the metal of the $1.00 but 1/4 of "face." Go figure.
