I found a bag of coins in a box and after dumping them out on the table immediately spotted a Three Cent piece, a silver Canadian quarter and a holed Canadian dime. The man whose space I was in came over and said I could have the entire bag of coins for $5.00. I put all the coins back in the bag paid the man and left. I sorted through the coins and found the Three Cent piece, 1867 EF-40, an 1887 Indian cent good at best, a Barber quarter 1893 that is worn almost completely slick, two wheat ear Lincolns, two memorial back Lincolns, a very worn 1867 Belgian coin with Leopold II on the obverse, two silver Canadian quarters, five silver Canadian dimes one with a hole in it, A 1944-D Philippine ten centavo piece in AU and a 5 cent good for token from Hickey Brothers Store # 29 Hotel La Salle South Bend, IL and a big pile of other foreign coins. At another table I found two Australian three pence coins dated 1922 and 1943 and purchased them for 50 cents. This was the best coin finds I've had at this flea market. ANA LM-3175

That's a nice score. Looks like there's enough silver to pay you back the $5 and then some I really like the '22 and '44 Australian three pence and the '44-D Philippines ten centavos. John1

Great pick-up!
I got to try flea markets. A dealer at the last show I went to said he does well at them also.

The Three Cent piece more than paid for the whole bag so all the silver came for free.

Love the 3 cent peice! Flea markets can be fun to look at. I mostly found picked over coins where I live. It is a retirement commmunity, so many collectors, I think.

Very nice, I don't have much luck at the flea market. Makes me want to go back out and look though. Nice score.

Guys keep looking out at the flea markets you never know when you will score a find like this. I am really surprised this guy didn't sort through his bag of coins as he comes out there on a regular basis and seems to know enough about what he brings and what the stuff is worth. An update about the Three Cent piece, it has a rotated reverse, about 40% counter clockwise. I'll post a picture tomorrow of the coin in a 2x2 showing a close up of the obverse and reverse. It is a bit dirty and I am NOT going to try to clean it. Is that enough to make it worthwhile to have it sent in to a grading service to be graded and attributed as an error? If so, then which would be the preferred service for this type of error PCGS or NGC?

My greatest finds have been from flea markets, garage/yard sales and even estate sales.
