PMD or the real deal? Should I get it certified?
if PMD what makes you think that?

Wouldn't an unplated zincoln look like the color of zinc? Yours looks like a brass plate to me.

brass are more of a yellow color, and this is the color I get when I scrape some of the copper off of a normal zincoln.

It could have been gold plated at one time. The copper color is now showing. A local plating company was plating cent gold color to show their work. They kept them in a cup to hand out to their customers. What could you give away that would be cheaper than a cent plated?

Nope. I see a completely normal coin.

IF this were an unplated zinc cent it would be battleship gray with little to no luster. That is simply not what you have.

Your coin is either plated, chemically altered, or just a normal coin.
