Hey guys, I'm new to grading coins so I would like your opinion on this one I picked up. If you don't mind indulging me, could you please walk me through your thought process along with posting your opinion.

I'm guessing that it is somewhere in the XF-45 area. If some of the markings, particularly on the nose, were not present I would go AU50 or 55. There is also some wear on the reverse breast feathers which prevents it from a greater grade.

These images are scanned in and my first attempt at coin imaging. Tips appreciated. No after-scan alterations were made except for cropping and saving at the 100kb limit. Please excuse that one side is larger than the other. I'm still figuring out Irfanview.

many sell on ebay using scans, however its a mite difficult to reall know what your seeing until you get it in hand or have a clean photo, which is really perfered for estimating a grade, I think its in the au range say 53 but the ding on the nose is some what distracting...

Thanks! I'll try and work on getting either a better scan or a picture from a digital camera (if I can find one).
