Looks like a 1909 s to me. I just can't see the VDB anywhere in those pictures... except for that lovely "red" tone in the one photo. HAHA

It might grade P01, but I'd grade it P00.

No thank you. It would be great to have a 1909S and especially a 1909S VDB, but what is the use in having one if it is in the shape this coin is in? Amazing that someone would pay $38 plus shipping.

Whao, one of the worst looking coins EVER. Honestly, I wouldn't trade him a 2011 Lincoln Cent for it....I'm not sure sure they'd even take it at a cash register. LOL

The best part is the disclaimer in the description...

"Recently, I became a victim of a scam artist, who purchased a valuable coin, received it, then 3 weeks later contacted Paypal/Ebay for a refund, which was given with no questions asked. Since Paypal/Ebay do not protect sellers and do not enforce their own guidelines regarding returns, I am not officially offering any returns for this item. However, I am willing to work with anyone who has a legitimate reason for any return. I hope that someday we'll have a choice other than the Paypal/Ebay mega-empire that will offer fair, honest auction and payment systems. If you have any doubts about my coins, please read through the more than 600 positive comments I have received. I have over 30 years' experience with coins, particularly Lincoln cents (I've been collecting since childhood)."

My opinion precisely. I highly doubt this coin to be what the seller says it is. Everything about the date digits is wrong for a true 1909 cent.

This is what 90% of my wheats that are dug at beaches look like. If he gets bids on this I'm throwing up my key trash on the bay. I would not pay nuthin for this junk. I don't even see how you all are saing it is a 1909-S. I don't see it. WOLF

A long time ago...
in a not so far off place...
a scammer sold this chinese counterfeit to a hopeful collector. That hopeful collector sends said coin to be graded. PCGS laughs for a couple weeks... PCGS sends said coin back to sender with note saying "thanks for the laugh, you just wasted $1000, or so". That collector cannot return the coin, as the scammer is sipping Margaritas on a beach somewhere in Mexico. The scamee crys for about a week, then comes up with a plan. He takes many, many volotile explosives and lets them off in a 55 gallon barrel in the middle of the desert. Upon returning home, his wife takes the car to the grocery store, comes back, and asks her husband(aka: the scamee), "Why was this penny stuck in your windshield wiper?"... Scamee looks in wife's hand and...... He gets on ebay and wants to be rid of it to another sucker like him...

The End
